Forbraíodh na Treoirlínte seo mar fhreagra ar éileamh ón earnáil oideachais ar threoir agus deimhniú maidir leis na hoibleagáidí agus freagrachtaí dlí atá leagtha ar na scoileanna.
Ba é an t-éileamh seo, chomh maith leis an tuiscint go raibh gá le sábháilteacht, sláinte agus leas san ionad oibre a bhainistiú, agus gur féidir leis an dá ní seo a bheith mar chuid dhílis de na próisis phleanála atá ann cheana ar leibhéal na scoile, ba iad seo a bhí mar bhunús leis an gcomhoibriú a tharla idir na páirtnéirí bainteacha.
These Guidelines have been developed in response to a demand from the education sector for guidance and clarification in relation to the legal obligations and responsibilities that have been placed on schools.
This demand, combined with the recognition that workplace safety, health and welfare needs to be managed and can be integrated into existing planning processes at school level, was at the core of the collaboration between the partners involved.
This book is a celebration of life on farms in Ireland, through the eyes and words of children. They tell us that farms are great places to live and grow up on. They also tell us how fragile life on the farm can be for children and adults alike, when chances are taken and safety is compromised.
