Market Surveillance – Industrial Products
The European Commission has issued a notice to economic operators, the purpose of which is to assist them to assess likely impacts on their operations in terms of their legal status and product certification procedures. The Commission Notice, which deals with the withdrawal of the United Kingdom and EU rules in the field of industrial and consumer products, applies to a number of Directives transposed and under the remit of the Authority’s work, including:
- Transportable Pressure Equipment (TPED) (Directive 2010/35/EU)
- Pressure Equipment (Directive 2014/68/EU)
- Lifts and Safety Components for Lifts (Directive 2014/33/EU)
- Equipment for use in Explosive Atmospheres ATEX (Directive 2014/34/EU)
- Machinery (Directive 2006/42/EC)
- Gas Appliance Regulation EU 2016/426 ( Previously GAD 2009/142/EC)
- PPE Regulation EU 2016/425 (Previously PPE Directive 89/686/EEC)
- Lifts (Directive 2014/33/EU)
