Grade II Inspector – Exposure Scientist (Chemicals)

The Health and Safety Authority has a wide and varied mandate which includes acting as the national body with responsibility for protecting all workers nationwide from work-related incidents, injuries and ill health. The Authority acts as the national accreditation body for Ireland through INAB.

Grade II Inspector – Exposure Scientist (Chemicals)

The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team. This role will involve working in the area of risk assessment and management of chemical substances under the REACH Regulation (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals). The role involves evaluating the potential for exposure to workers and consumers from chemical substances proposed for regulatory actions under REACH, based on an understanding of use patterns, and the assessment of measured or modelled exposure data, and the operational conditions and risk management measures. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating scientific information and preparing scientific opinions. 

Incremental salary scale: €72,511 - €88,429
