The Health and Safety Authority has a wide and varied mandate which includes acting as the national body with responsibility for protecting all workers nationwide from work-related incidents, injuries and ill health. The Authority acts as the national accreditation body for Ireland through INAB.

Higher Executive Officer – Socio Economic Analysis (Chemicals)

The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team and the role will involve supporting the work of colleagues who participate in the European Chemical Agency’s (ECHA) Socio-Economic Analysis Committee. This role will involve the socio-economic analysis of the use of various chemicals under the REACH Regulation (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals). The role requires the assessment of various direct and indirect effects associated with the use of hazardous chemicals e.g. health impacts, environmental impacts, economic impacts, employment impacts, other societal impacts.

Incremental salary scale: €57,122 - €71,939
