    General Application Amendment Regulations Pressure Systems

    The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) (Amendment) Regulations 2012 (S.I. No. 445 of 2012) amend the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007 (S.I. No. 299 of 2007) by adding a Part 10 and associated Schedule 12 to deal with pressure systems. The failure of pressure equipment can result in fatalities and serious injuries and cause major damage to property. The purpose of the Regulations is to provide a robust regime for the management of pressure systems, including clear requirements for periodic statutory examinations of pressure vessels.
