Justification |
Failure to control process conditions and the risks from ECIM installations and equipment have been the main or underlying cause in many major accidents both in Ireland and abroad. In many processes and activities undertaken at employers’ establishments, ECIM equipment and systems provide important prevention and mitigation measures against accidents. This guidance gives a practical assistance to complying with the relevant legislation. Failure to comply with the relevant legislation could result in the Employer (both the company and the individual) facing criminal prosecution.
