HSA Chemicals Helpdesk

The Health and Safety Authority operates a chemicals helpdesk to assist Irish companies with their obligations under various pieces of chemicals legislation, including CLP and REACH. Please see the helpdesk scope & function for more information. The Helpdesk can be contacted by emailing chemicals@hsa.ie or by calling 0818 289 389. A list of all other national helpdesks can be found on the ECHA website.

HelpNet

The chemicals helpdesk partcipates in an EU wide network of member state helpdesks, known as the helpdesks network or HelpNet. The overall aim of this network is to ensure high quality and harmonisation of support and answers to queries on REACH and CLP. Our helpdesk can avail of the expertise of this group to receive harmonised answers to particularly difficult questions. If the helpdesk intends to post a query onto HelpEx, the customer will be informed of this prior to the query being posted and assurance given that company specific information will not be included.

ECHA Helpdesk

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) also operate a helpdesk for questions on REACH or CLP that are outside the scope of the national helpdesk, such as issues related to dossier submissions and scientific IT-tools. The ECHA helpdesk can be contacted using their web form.
