The Health and Safety Authority has a wide and varied mandate which includes acting as the national body with responsibility for protecting all workers nationwide from work-related incidents, injuries and ill health. The Authority acts as the national accreditation body for Ireland through INAB.

Grade III Inspector (Investigation Unit)

The work of a Grade III Inspector is varied and can involve the following non-exhaustive list of activities and tasks across all our mandates. The Investigation Unit has responsibility for investigating assigned occupational related accidents which includes fatal and non-fatal incidents. The investigative process involves, securing evidence, recording witness statements and interviewing suspects under caution.

Incremental salary scale: €38,083 - €77,284
