Guidance-Note on Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations
Electrical installations, if not properly maintained, can kill, injure and cause serious property damage. In Ireland, people are killed almost every year from contact with, or as a result of electricity. This Guidance-Note aims to assist employers, employees and others put in place a suitable regime for periodic inspection and testing of electrical installations to reduce the possibility of harm arising from the electrical installation in a workplace.

A book about ocean safety and fishing life by children from all over Ireland. Children have led the way in many cultural changes for the better in Ireland. From the move towards recycling to wearing seat belts, children have a huge influence in the home, the community and by extension - the workplace. This book is part of the Authority’s awareness raising campaign aimed at reducing death and injuries amongst fishermen.

Managing Health and Safety in Fishing
The aim of this guidance document is to help improve standards of safety and health in the commercial sea/marine fishing sector. In an effort to aid prevention of accidents and ill-health among fishermen, this guidance document looks at the role of the Safety Statement in managing health and safety, the most common causes of death, injury and ill-health and gives basic information to help illuminate or control the risks involved in fishing.
