Code of Practice for Managing Safety and Health in Forestry Operations
This updated Code of Practice was required due to many outdated references following various amendments to regulations since the Code’s original publication (2009). The updated Code of Practice has also deleted references to several UK Arboriculture and Forestry Advisory Group (AFAG) guidance documents as the Authority developed ten relevant guides on this topic. The Authority guides are now referenced within the revised Code. This Code of Practice came into operation on 01 May 2023 and from that date it revokes and replaces the previous Code of Practice for Managing Safety and Health in Forestry Operations which was published in 2009.
