The Health and Safety Authority wishes to advise distributors/retailers/owners/users of the above filter of a Distributor Advisory Notice and User Advisory Notice issued by 3M United Kingdom PLC for the Personal Protective Equipment product: 3M™ Versaflo™ A2B2E2K1HgP Filter, TR-6580E.

Evidence has come to light that the filter, which is the subject of these 3M Advisory Notices, does not meet all requirements of the European Standards EN12941:1998+A2:2008 and EN12942:1988+A2:2008. 

What to do

Notwithstanding the information contained in the 3M Distributor Advisory and User Advisory Notices, as a precautionary measure, the Health and Safety Authority recommends that the filter which is the subject matter of these Advisory Notices (3M™ Versaflo™ A2B2E2K1HgP Filter, TR-6580E) is removed from use with immediate effect until further information becomes available. 

Should you have in stock or  sold a potentially affected product(s) or passed the product to others, you are requested to communicate this safety alert and related information to any product recipient as quickly as possible. 

3M United Kingdom PLC are solely responsible for managing their Advisory Notices and arranging any return or credits for products if required. All queries or clarifications must be made directly with 3M, not the Health and Safety Authority.
